nisam radio za crystal, ali u globalu on je dvije klase iznad carnivala. što može značiti da ćeš dobivati više stresa od menadžmenta a manje od gostiju i posade, dok će ti plaća vjerojatno za isti posao biti također bolja. socijalni život na carnivalu je relativno dobar, dok na crlstalu neće biti tako zanimljivo... a sad što se konkretno tiče mikroklime na tvojoj poziciji, ne znam.

Pozdrav Parisa, čestitam na debelim živcima kao prvo, odradi to do kraja i potraži normalnije mjesto za rad sad kad imaš iskustvo.  :uzdravlje:

Za vas ostale mogu potvrditi da očekujete svašta na toj kompaniji, ja sam radio sezonu 2015. tamo i sve to o međuljudskim odnosima što je Parisa napisala itekako stoji, ali ja sam imao sreću da je na mom brodu Hotel manager bio jedan od najboljih nadređenih s kojima sam ikad radio i bilo je s te strane ok, ali imam puno negativnih iskustava s kolegama, pred kraj ugovora ukradena pozamašna svota novca iz kabine, nakon nekog vremena na moj zahtjev sam otišao na drugi stariji brod u floti gdje me je dočekala situacija kakvu Parisa opisuje, ali brod je ranije završavao sezonu tako da sam ostao samo dva tjedna i nisam uopće htio nikoga upoznavati...

Sefe da tocno to sto kazes me zanima, svi osim chiefa su filipinci koji mi ne ulijevaju nimalo povjerenje. Ali viking je dobra kompanija za biti security jer su gosti penzioneri i nema tucnjava i droga i sl. kao na carnivalu gdje su skoro svakodnevni incidenti. Cak je i crew ovdje kamilica. Meni je cilj pobjeci od hospitality jer nisam za to koliko god da glumim. Iz tvojeg iskustva koliko bi bila minimalna pocetna placa?                                         Kolega electrician  nisam nikad ni cuo za wilhemsen hvala za info, security je svuda pod deck departmentom...  nego jel to neka firma koncesionar?

Pozdrav svima s viking stara posebno tebi šefe,  razmisljam otici kod HR i raspitati se o promjeni departmenta u security jer mi je konobarenja preko glave, odrekao bi se i dobrog dijela para koje sad zaradujem da promijenim department... da skratim pitanje za one koji imaju konkretne informacije. Sefe bez iskustva u poslu jel ima sanse za tako nesto. Moj adut je poznavanje borilackih vjestina na trenerskom nivou ali sumnjam da cu ovdje redariti... spreman sam kad odem na vacation poloziti potrebme tecajeve i stcw ali me zanima jel ima sanse i racunice  u tome jer vidim da to rade samo filipinci.

The role of Sanitation Officer on board the vessel is to ensure the overall cleanliness of the vessel areas allocated to the Food & Beverage operation and Housekeeping operation, and to oversee the compliance with all sanitation practices including but not limited to cleanliness, storing, food handling, chemical handling, pest management and conduct necessary trainings to all F&B and Housekeeping team members in conjunction with their respective line managers.

Previous experience in a similar role is absolutely essential

Qualification in Public and Environmental Health or Advanced Food Safety Qualification

nemam iskustva s tvojom firmom ali ti mogu reći da nažalost nije jedna od najboljih,  tako da su i standardi niži i nebi trebao imati veliki problem...
kao što ti je netko gore napisao nauči kako se kaže koja namirnica, posuda, način pripreme i sl. osnovne fraze, tih 20ak rečenica koje češ koristiti, takosam ja komunicirao sa njemačkim gostima, naučio sam 20ak rečenica i imena namirnica, u 90% slučajeva nisam imao problema

neznamo mi šta bi ti htio ćuti, da engleski je bitan, ali koliko sam ja vidio nije presudan, baš kao što ti čovjek kaže najbitnije da se znaš sporazumijevti, to tvoje neznanje jezika executive će možda tolerirati a možda neće.
na riječnim brodovima gdje sam ja radio gotovo su svi kuhri bili rumunji pola njih nije pričali engleski, pa sam nakon par mjeseci ja njima govorio na rumunjskom do kraja sezone ja sam naučio više rumunjskog nego oni engleskog, i da neki su tamo 10 godina  no;;;
ovisi jako puno i o firmi na koju ideš

The Spa Manager should be qualified as a Hairstylist as the role will require from them providing hairdressing services to our guests. The Spa Manager is also responsible for the daily operation of Beauty Salon, Saunas, Fitness and Massage Rooms. Additional responsibilities include health and safety, administration, accounting, maintaining service levels and managing SPA Staff.

The role involves:

Developing and implementing business plans for the department
Ensuring that all guests are receiving courteous and efficient service

Promoting sales

Zadranine, da te pitam, mi smo plovili pod njemačkom zastavom prošle, 2015 godine i na ruti nam je bio strasbourg imali smo čak i nekoliko filipinaca nije bilo nikakvih problema i oni su izlazili u grad itd... a to da ako plovi pod FR zastavom sam čuo da samo EU.

i čisto iz radoznalosti da te pitam, koje nacionalnosti su bili ti gosti koji su se žalili na nedovoljno francuske kuhinje?
mi smo svaki kruz na rajni i majni imali fruhschoppen kad su amerikanci ili britanci bili na brodu, nije ih baš zanimalo previše, dok su bili nijemci, kao termiti sve su pojeli i popili, amerikancima se zapravo nisu niti sviđale te razne kobasice sa raznim senfovima i perecima...

istina to što se tiće jezika neznaju niti neće pričati engleski, isto kao i talijani, jedina iznimka su francusko govoreći švicarci koji govore sve odreda i nije im problem... i druga stvar, nisu nimalo darežljivi kad dođe kraj kruza, moj kolega je pričao dosta francuskog ali se razočarao s tipsom...

nemam osobnih iskustava sa francuskim rijekama, ali koliko sam čuo na francuskim rijekama je najbitnija EU putovnica, jer francuzi navodno nedaju vize tako lako...
inaće tmo ima puno manje brodova nego na rajni-majni-dunavu. moja bivša firma je imala samo 2 od 12... manje više ista prića kao i drugdje, ali recimo francuske rijeke jako vole amerikanci koji su ipak darežljiviji od drugih, i rekao bi ćim je rijeka manje popularna imaš klijentelu koja je već prije krstarila pa traže nešto novo...

Malo prije mi je stigao automatski mail od HR stranice s fred olsena da traže cruise directora i sous chefa, pa da podijelim s vama, ako je netko kvalificiran i voljan se prijaviti...

Description:
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is part of the international Fred. Olsen organisation and is well known for its quality cruises and the ‘personal’ touch we offer our passengers.
We are currently looking for a dedicated Sous Chef with a ‘hands on’ approach and ideally with previous cruise ship experience in similar role.
You will be expected to assist the Executive Chef/ Executive Sous Chef in directing and supervising of preparation and production, in accordance with the established company's menu and recipes, of all food on board to be served to both guests and crew taking into consideration dietary, religious and cultural requirements.

You will be responsible for managing, monitoring and developing team members (up to 50 people) to ensure the provision of high quality, professionally prepared food products, whilst ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with all current safety and company regulations (including Public Health Policy and ILO).

You will be expected to maintain and improve standards, identifying areas of improvement and delivering positive change to ensure we exceed our guests' experience, sometimes it will mean maximizing all resources and budgets without compromising quality, appearance or taste.

Qualifications:
Minimum 6 years of progressive food preparation experience in high volume hotels/restaurants/cruise ships to include 5 years experience as Sous Chef or 3 years experience as a Chef de Cuisine in a smaller environment.
Completion of associate degree or equivalent and/or Chef apprenticeship program from an accredited culinary or hospitality school
Good command of written and spoken English
Competent IT skills, including good knowledge of Fidelio Management System
Supervisory experience
