JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervisor Pools & Decks

The Supervisor Pools & Decks supervises a team of crew members that work on the open decks.
He/she reports directly to the Assistant Housekeeping Managers.
His/her responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

•   Ensure all staff complies with company standards regarding dress and appearance (Carnival Look Book).
•   Completion of special tasks as set by the onboard Housekeeping Management and reporting of problems performing these tasks.
•   Supervision of housekeeping operation on open deck areas (verandas, external swimming pools, whirlpool areas etc) and supervision of crewmembers working on the open decks.
•   Training and development of crewmembers.
•   Ensure a safe operation on the open decks and maintain cleanliness of housekeeping cleaning equipment and lockers located in the Open Deck areas.
•   Ensure that crewmembers comply with the Garbage Management Program, with particular emphasis on garbage separation.
•   Report all maintenance issues to Assistant Housekeeping Managers.
•   Follow U.S.P.H. procedures as directed in the Vessel Sanitation Manual
•   Ensure that chlorine, bromide and PH levels in the pools and whirlpools are maintained according to the USPH requirements. Maintain the pool logs.
•   Ensure that “Port Operation Restrictions” are followed during cleaning of the open decks.
•   Ensure that swimming pools and water slide operations are supervised and monitored according to CCL policies.
•   Ensure that swimming pools, towel counter, whirlpools and water slide are open and closed in timely manner.
•   Supervision and control of the beach towel operation on the open decks.
•   Ensure that all chemicals used on the open decks are properly labeled and stored.
•   Ensure that deck chairs are properly stored and secured when not in use.
•   Ensure that channels are being cleaned on a daily basis
•   Ensure that all stainless steel, brass and glass areas are free of salt and rust.
•   Advise Assistant Housekeeping Manager immediately of any safety concerns involving guests and crewmembers.

EX:
Ovako,  sta se radi u Day shift:

Ujutru od 5.30-8.00am  mora da se ociste svi kanali na Open decku, da se obrisu stakla, ocisti teak floor (brodski drveni pod) od fleka, Lido restoran mora da se ocisti od prasine i pripremi za dorucak.   

Postavlja se setup  lezaljki (lounge chairs)  na open decku, ako je port day stavlja se po pravilu oko pola lezaljki koje imas, a kada je sea day postavljaju se sve, dakle za sea day full setup.

Javni toaleti koje imas pod svojom odgovornoscu moraju da se pripreme i srede.
podrucje oko main poola mora da se proveri dobro jer je to glavni deo open decka, to mora da bude cisto.

Pa onda serenity deck da se ocisti i da se donesu peskiri na tpwel station na Serenity i na towel station na lido.

Tobogan na brodu ako ga ima mora da se opere vodom pred ukljucivaje.

Ujutru oko 7 iskljucim punjenje djakuzija i ukljucim jet pump, filter pumo i grejace.  Malo kasnije stavim tobogane na punjenje (otvori se valve za punjenje tanka) i on se zatvori oko 10 am.  Paznja, cesto se desi da se zaboravi da se ugasi pa bude overflow po Verandah decku, sliva se ekada voda u Lido restoran :D



U 8am svi HS idu na pauzu 1h za dorucak i pre toga im kazem da otvore bazen, suncobrane,  djakuzije.

U 9am meeting,  tu kazes sta treba da se popravi, ako je neko radio "mamagajo",  da s instrukcije, pitas treba li im sto,  ili ako imaju neku trening to odradis tu ili ih obavestis kada imaju trening.

do 10.30am svi basic cleanings moraju da se zavrse. 

tobogan se otvara u 10am, tamo stavis 3 coveka i proveris da li je sve sigurno, objasnis im opet pravila i proceduru jer je uvek SAFETY FIRST.

Posle toga svi imaju svoje area i tu ciste od casa, tanjira,  ciste pod, i obilae taj deo koji je njihov i to do kraja dana, ti to sve nadzires i trckas non stop po open decku, jer uvek ima neki zadatak ovaki i onaki da se zavrsi.

Pfed kraj dana deo se pakuje , da bi se olaksao posao night shiftu. Meeting je u 5.30 i kazes im sta da zavrse jos, da bace djubre, odnesu sta treba u laundry i to je kraj smene.  Onda se ide u office da se radi shift report i wprk orderi za sve sto je pokvareno ili treba da se sredi na open decku.

Da li je placen ovaj posao i da li on spada u bolje poslove na brodu po vama?

Oko 1300$ plus placena avionska karta.

I naucices ono sto mozes po mom misljenju samo u housekeeping management-u,  posto je jako drugaciji od drugih departmenta,  a to  je mili moj nesto sto ne moze da se plati novcem.

Posle ovoga mogu sa sigurnoscu da kazem da sam spreman voditi bilo koji posao vrlo vrlo intenzivno, vrlo ozbiljno, i efektivno sto se bar u RS retko vidja.  A pre to nisam pojma imao.  Utreniras se i napravis na zver   :D   kao masina oT :D
