In 2012, RCI had to engage in a mission critical project surrounding ECCR cabin usage.  The overall scope of this project was to re-coupe a $25 million revenue loss as a result of guest cabin use, by Contractors, Crew and Shoreside Personnel.  In order to offset this, we had to in turn identify crew cabin inventory that could be utilized for the ECC demand across the fleet.

Therefore, consideration was given to many areas such as new cabin construction, PAR reductions, and 2 stripe entitlement changes:

  ·    The  first  area  of  opportunity was to build as many new cabins as possible without impacting guest/crew space.
  ·    The next area of opportunity was Permanent/Travelling PAR reductions for a total of 342 fleetwide.
  ·    The last area of consideration was given to cabin entitlement changes for 2 stripe ranking employees with RCI.

At  RCI  we  also  believe in communicating clearly with our crew and in an effort  to advise you as quickly as possible of important details that will
affect you, we’ve asked the HR Manager/hiring partner representatives to please communicate the following changes that have been made:

  1)    Effective March 1st 2013, your single cabin entitlement status will be changed to a shared status.
  2)    Even though this is an official change in status, a physical cabin change may not take place for you until the cabin conversions have been completed on your respective vessel.
  3)    You will be notified by the HR Manager in advance of the physical cabin change and we anticipate this process to take a few months with completion by May 31st 2013.

We fully appreciate such a change in cabin entitlement has a personal implication to each of those impacted, the decisions to build additional cabins, reduce permanent and travelling PAR and adjust single entitlements status is purely a business decision and necessary in order to meet our 2013 business challenges.

General
Q:  Will crew with the new shared status maintain their existing privileges?
A:   There will be no change to existing ship privileges, with the exception of the “in cabin cruise request”.   This can only be accommodated for those crew with single entitlement.

Stripe Entitlement Changes
Q:  Will salary and/or contract length be impacted?
A:  Salary and contract lengths will remain the same.

Moram jos jednu stvar da dodam... Jedna od stvari koju "ameri" cene je poznavanje elektronike, tj elektrotehnike.
 Npr. moj menadzer je bio zabezeknut mojim popravkama, uglavnom gupostima koje mozete izvesti uz pomoc "stapa i kanapa"  :smack:
Ne znam zasto ali kod njih drzati lemilicu je napredan nivo  :google:ˇ
Cak sta vise u mojim papirima za promociju prva stavka je bila, "moje odlicno poznavanje elektrotehnike, koji je najaca osobina za jednog tehnicara", mada gore pomenuti stap i kanap su najbanalnija osnova elektrotehnike koju mozete nauciti iz knjige za fiziku 8. razred osnovne skole  :smack:
Ako vas pitaju ili ne pitaju, obacezno recite da cepate popravke, pa makar to bila najveca laz na ovom svetu. Brodovi su generalno stari, po pitanju opreme, a i da nisu oprema crkava mozda ne na nedeljnom nivou, ali ipak se desava da nesto otkaze.
Recite da ste se tim zanimali kao hobijem, slaba struja naravno. Da ste uz nekog gde god da ste radili popravljali uredjaje. 90% vece sanse za prolaz, garantujem. Pa makar to bilo ciscenje prasine iz vaseg PC-a gde sve one zelene ploce imaju one cudne dugmice, zicice, srafice i slicno  :rofl:

Evo i mene nakon duzeg vremena. Vratio sam se drugog ugovora i mogu vam reci da se dosta toga promenilo.
U principu posao je isti, ovo mi je treci brod i vracam se na isti, i vrlo je mala razlika izmedju brodova Voyager klase.
 Velika je razlika u broadcastu je izmedju brodova koji su odradili dry dock i ovih starih gde pola stvari ili ne radi ili se vise ne koristi...

Prva ocigledna stvar vezana za ovaj posao, sve vise nasih ljudi je pocelo da rade kao tehnicari.
Ne samo kao Broadcast Technician vec i kao stage stuff (najlaksi nacin ako zelite da napredujete do sound ili light tech-a).
Nazalost od ove godine Royal je oduzeo uglavnom svim ljudima sa 2 stripe-a single kabine, tako da je dosta ljudi dalo ili ce dati otkaze u narednom periodu.
Generalno kad se pogleda bcast tech na royalu ima 1900usd mesecno i signle cabinu, dok na svim drugim kompanijama bcast ima bar za 1000$ vecu platu ali deli sobu...
Tako da ko god planira da konkurise na ovu poziciju ili gore pomenute pozicije Sound ili Light tech-a ima velike sanse da upadne bez problema u toku ove godine.
Ja sam razmisljao da dam otkaz jer posle 2 ugovora plata mi je ista, nema povecanja plate i jos dodatno gubim svoju kabinu.
Ali jbg ceo drugi ugovor sam pratio i ucio od sefa (i uspesno sam obucio Chovu kako da sljaka kao Broadcast Technician) pa mi je ponudjena pozicija Head broadcast-a... Sto naravno ima svoje prednosti, opet single kabina sa prozorom (svi znamo koliko je grozno kad moras da upalis tv, da bi video kakvo je vreme napolju  oT ), veca plata, nema za*****ancije sa snimanjem, montazom, multicam-om ....
Naravno vise odgovornosti, i nekih drugih stvari ali kako se kaze, zivi bili i videli.
Tako da javljam se uskoro, nadam se, posto je brodski net opasno djubre, a na karibima je lakse naci dijamant nego wifi koja valja .
Ako ima pitanja vezana za ovaj posao pitajte, al samo da ne bude opet ono "sta ce da me pitaju na intervjuu"  :tuctuc:

Royal Caribbean / Navigator of the seas

Evo samo da se javim po prvi put sa ovog drugog ugovora.
Sta reci, osim, mnogo je lakse sad drugi put, brod je skoro identican proslom brodu, portovi su mnogo bolji jer je Evropa u pitanju (Rim, Mesina, Kusadasi, Atina, Krit).
Ko je dobio Navigator, zgranuce se koliko nasih ljudi ima, pocevsi od dining rooma, preko shopova i ostalih pozicija... nema mnogo kineza i generalno svi su ok...
Ako neko ima neko pitanje vezano za ovaj brod nek pita slobodno, jer mogu da saznam neke informacije iz prve ruke, vezano za razlicite pozicije i slicno :)  :uzdravlje:

Proslo je mnogo koliko vidim od prvog post-a u ovoj temi, ali mogu da kazem da se nije nista promenilo... Ima slucajeva da ljudi stvarno znaju da budu verni, i da se drze toga... ima i onih koji misle da su verni dok ne popiju... Ali uglavnom, nema dileme, ljudi su ljudi, sex je na brodu potreba, za nekog vise za nekog manje, neko je u braku i postuje prsten, ali generalno mi "mladji" pri tom mislim na nas koji nismo u braku, znaci tipa veze kuci, jao maco kuco, cici mici, i ostale piz$arije ne piju vodu na brodu... A to znam po mnogim koji su bili "verni", ali kao sto rekoh od slucaja do slucaja ...

Viza za posao na brodu / Italijanska Viza

Ljudi pomoc, dal sam trebao da odem do italijanske ambasade da vadim vizu, ili mi to ne treba buduci da imam Americku C1/D ? :hehe:

Poz narode, zanima me jedna stvar koju nisam saznao na prvom ugovoru.
Da li neko zna da li imam pravo zvati na drugom ugovoru porodicu i prijatelje na jedan ili vise kruzeva? Da li mogu da rezervisem guess kabinu ili moraju da budu u mojoj kabini?
Pozicija mi ima 2 stripe-a i staff sam, pri tom imam single kabinu sa over size krevetom. I kompanija je Royal.

Evo mene jos opet.
Samo bih zeleo da se jos jednom zahvalim svim ljudima ciji post-ovi su puno pomogli, Sefu zbog ovog foruma, mami, tati, tetki  :haha: i tako dalje.

Sefe valjda nije problem sto sam otvorio nov topic, ali cini mi se da ce ovako pre neko videti, nego da ode u temu Print shop.  +U+

E ovako ljudi, na glavnom intervjuu sam ocigledno zaiteresovao CV-ijem glavnog regrutera, pa je on poslao moje podatke drugom regruteru koji mi je zakazao drugi intervju preko skype-a 20og, tj prekosutra, i tako ja sa pozicije Printera mozda ubodem neki placeniji pos'o ...

Iii upravo sam dobio job description, pa cu to podeliti sa vama, cisto ako neko bude konkurisao za ovaj posao.

A pre toga zelim da vidim da li neko radi ili je radio ovaj posao na Royalu,kakav je intervju, kakvo je radno vreme, uslovi, plata, sta se radi, sa kojom opremom i slicno.
U neku ruku mi je hitno to da saznam...

Job description

Position Title:  Broadcast Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinates satellite feeds, editing, shooting, graphics and video productions for onboard television system and produces live special events and video shows by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Royal Caribbean International expects each shipboard team member to relentlessly exemplify the principles of the Anchored in Excellence Credo to all team members. In addition, all duties and responsibilities are to be performed in accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s Gold Anchor Standards, SQM standards, USPH guidelines, environmental, and safety policies.
Each shipboard employee may be required to perform all functions in various service venues and throughout the ship.

1. In accordance with Royal Caribbean International’s philosophy of Anchored in Excellence, each employee conducts oneself in a professional and courteous manner at all times.  This consists of physical and verbal interactions with guests or fellow shipboard employees and/or in the presence of guest contact and crew areas.
2. Reads television-programming log to ascertain program to be recorded or program to be aired on RCTV closed circuit television.  Ensures all graphics reflect the current marketing strategy and Gold Anchor Standards.
3. Selects pre-approved source, such as movies, satellite or local television stations, from which program will be recorded or transmitted, and selects videotaping equipment on which program will be recorded.
4. Observes quality control monitor to verify that station is on-air.  Monitors television system to ensure all channels are operating appropriately within specifications and correct programming is being televised.
5. Maintains equipment and ensures proper function.  Cleans videotape path to remove contaminants that would affect quality of recording or playback of videotaping equipment.
6. Sets audio level, and records test pattern and program onto videotape.
7. Verifies quality of recording before playback on television system. 
8. Maintains quality tape stock and updates tape based programming.
9. Observes scales in video and color monitors and operates controls to adjust video and color levels.  Assures video and audio levels are within appropriate range as to not cause distortion over television system.
10. Cues program and places videotaping equipment in remote control mode for use by other operator.
11. Operates videotaping equipment to dub and edit tapes.
12. Wires audio and video patch bays (socketed equipment that allows for transfer of audio and video signals between different pieces of equipment, via cables).
13. Operates videotaping equipment to record production and related shows performed onboard.
14. Maintains inventory and maintenance of all video equipment in the Cruise Director Division, including broadcast room, theatre, cinema and conference room.
15. Shoots, edits and produces “Cruise in Review” video.  Promotes the sale of video with the photography department. 
16. Shoots, edits and produces commercials to promote onboard revenue.
17. Attends meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.
18. Performs related duties as required.  This position description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the shipboard employee occupying this position.  Shipboard employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum hiring, language and physical requirements to perform the job.
Hiring Requirements:
Two to three years television broadcast or television production experience required.
Knowledge of broadcast, video productions and technical television operation production.  This includes producing, directing, shooting and editing of feature length, short formats, commercial and documentary style programming.
Bachelors or Associates degree in broadcasting, technical field preferred.
Ability to edit on both linear and non-linear production systems in multiple formats such as Beta SP, Beta SX, SVHS, MPEG, etc required.
Ability to operate Macintosh and Windows computer platforms and familiar with  AVID required and a variety of Adobe products such a PhotoShop, After Affects, Illustrator, Premier preferred.
Knowledge of basic computer operations in the areas of live TV directing, call and switch live multiple camera programs, TV programming, scheduling and traffic.
Knowledge of satellite uplink and downlink procedures, as well as signal tracking while at sea preferred.
Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required.

Language Requirements:
Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly and cordially with guests.
Ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, Portugese, Italian, French or German preferred.  A language aptitude test may be requested.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the shipboard employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
All shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency life saving procedures and drills.  Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats.  Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Predstavljanja / Par nedoumica i nekih gluposti ...

Pozdrav ljudi,
Zovem se Pedja, 86 god. iz Beograda sam, i kao svi budući moreplovci imam dosta (verovatno) glupih pitanja na koje nadam se, će neko odgovoriti...

Pa da počnem.
Kao i većini, najveći problem je bio koju agenciju kontaktirati, i da sad ne bih davio koja me je ‚‚ispalila'' a koja ispala korektna, reći ću samo da sam se odlucio na Kouzon.

E sad... Hteo sam aplicirati za mesto A/V tehničara ali su mi na prvom interv. odmah rekli nešto u fazonu, tesko ćes dobiti taj posao... kao težak je glavni interv.
Iako sam već radio na dve domaće TV stanice (Fox, SvetPlus) kao montažer i pri tom sam na završnoj godini Visoke el.teh. škole, smer Audio i Video tehnologije -.- ... Plus da pomenem da sam radio u privatnoj štampariji, kao grafički editor, i u još jednoj privatnoj firmi takodje kao graf. editor. Elem nabavio sam i pisma preporuke, poneo diplomu završenog kursa za 3d animaciju u 3DStudio Maxu (osnovni i srednji nivo), i imam odličo znanje za rad na preko 5 programa vezanih za obradu slike i video materijala (Adobe Premiere, Edius, PhotoShop, SonyVegas, 3dmax, maya .... etc.) na kraju dobijem negativan odgovor... Smorio sam se ko pas, prosto rečeno.

Ponudjen mi je posao printera, ali posto Kouzon po prvi put šalje ljude na tu poziciju na Royal, nisu tačno znali šta bi bio moj posao, niti šta bi bila pitanja na glavnom interv. Ostali ljudi na interv. su dobili dosta materijala da se pripreme, a ja sam ko siroče izašao sa brošurom od 10 pitanja koja će mi biti postavljena na prvom razgovoru....
 Pri tom interv. se sastoji iz dva dela, u prvom treba da ostavim dobar utisak na predstavnicu firme, naravno obučen u odelo kao da konkurišem na mesto direktora (ali nema veze) i drugi deo u kom bi verovatno preko skype-a bio ispitan o tehničkom poznavanju tog posla, naravno isto u odelu  oT ...
Da li neko zna nešto više o ovom poslu, tom glavnom intervjuu od kog mi se diže kosa na glavi, i slično. U prevodu pomagajte ljudi ko Boga vas molim :) Hvala unapred
