Benefits hereunder will be payable from the Effective Date. However, in respect
of Pre-Existing Conditions cover hereunder will only commence after 300 days
of continuous employment during which no treatment is sought, recommended
or received.
Znaci, u sustini mogu da izbegnu da pokriju stanje koje je nastalo u proslosti ukoliko ti imas manje od 300 dana od kako radis za Princess. Ako radis za Princess duze od 300 dana trebalo bi da bude OK.
PRE-EXISTING CONDITION means a condition for which on the Effective Date the
Insured Person:
a) is receiving medical care or treatment (including Prescription Drugs) for any
Sickness or Injury, or
b) is suffering from a Sickness or Injury which has been diagnosed but for which
treatment has not yet been started, or
c) has symptoms of a Sickness or Injury which would have caused a reasonable
person to have sought medical care or treatment
d) is suffering from the effects of a Sickness or Injury which can be clinically
determined to have started prior to initial enrolment onto the program.
EXCLUSIONS
Underwriters will not pay Charges in respect of
i) Sickness as a result of a Pre-Existing Condition of which the Insured
Person is aware and conceals from Underwriters by fraud or gross
negligence;
ii) A Sickness or Injury which has caused the Insured Person to be unable
to complete their contract on board as scheduled and consequently
resulted in them having been disembarked from the ship on medical
grounds.
iii) physiotherapy and re-education, spa treatments and medications other
than those expressly identified in the Schedule of Benefits.
iv) mental illness and psychological ailments of all kinds;
v) birth, abortion and miscarriage except as identified in the Schedule of
Benefits.
vi) the abuse of alcohol or consumption of hallucinogens or the nontherapeutic
use of psychopharmaceuticals and drugs;
vii) injuries suffered as a result of drunkenness or intoxication or the Insured
Person’s criminal actions
viii) purchase, maintenance and repair of prostheses or therapeutic devices,
except as identified in the Schedule of Benefits.
ix) prescription Charges applied to medicines by the National or State
Health Services;
x) treatments or operations for the elimination or correction of physical
defects, disabilities or malformations that were present prior to the
Effective Date of this Policy;
xi) aesthetic applications (with the exception of reconstructive plastic surgery
made necessary by Injury);
xii) dental or parodontopathic treatments not required as a result of Injury
and in all cases, dental prostheses or orthodontic treatments or prostheses.
xiii) An Injury or Sickness caused by war, invasion, act of foreign enemy,
hostilities or warlike operations (whether war be declared or not), civil
war.
xiv) An Injury or Sickness caused by mutiny, riot, strike, military or popular
uprising, insurrection, rebellion, military or usurped power.
xv) An Injury or Sickness caused by any act of any person acting on behalf
of or in connection with any organisation with activities directed towards
the overthrow by force of the government de jure or de facto or to the
influencing of it by terrorism or violence.
xvi) An Injury or Sickness caused by martial law or state of siege, or any
event or causes which determine the proclamation or maintenance of
martial law or state of siege.
xvii) Any Injury or Sickness caused by nuclear fission, nuclear fusion or radio
active contamination of any description however caused.
xviii) Treatment in the United States of America or Canada.
xix) Travel for the purpose of seeking or obtaining medical treatment.
