1. How do you feel and are you nervous?
A little bit sir, since this is the most important day in my life so far, but I am more exhausted from the trip to Zagreb but 100% ready for this!
2. How did u get here today, how did u travel, with who and how long?
Thanks for asking Sir. I came here today with my own Car, since its more expensive to come with the Bus and takes more time. Everything went smooth, no problems on the road, but I never drive too fast. I came with my fiance, we are here together today. It took us around 5h from Zivinice, north east of Bosnia to Zagreb.
3. Where did u buy that piece of cloth?
Thanks for asking Sir. I bought this in my hometown, in a small butique. It was bought for this special occasion.

5. When and where were you born, how old are you?
Thanks for asking Sir, I was born in Tuzla, a city in Bosnia, north east part of Bosnia and herzegovina on the 6th october of Nineteen eighty nine and I am 23 years old.
6. Where are you from, where do you live?
Thanks for asking Sir, I from Zivinice, Bosnia and Herzegovina and right now I am living there.
7. Tell me something about your City.
Certainly Sir, My City Zivinice is lays in the north-east part of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its a smaller city with a decent population compared to many other. The city has everything to offer, from Highshool over few Uni's to some Sport centers, parks and everything that is important for a normal life and a normal childhood.
8. Tell me something about yourself in a few sentences.
Certainly Sir, In my opinion this is a very important question for both sides. I would say that I am a person who is seeking for better and who will do all in his power to achieve it. I am a sophisticated, hardworking team-player who is used to challenges similar to the ones that I have to face on the ship and I always welcome such. Very communicative and polite which I became trough my, in some ways complicated life.
9. What do you like and what not?
Thanks for asking Sir. There is not too many things I could say I dont like. I can pretty much get used to anything as long as it doesnt bother me too much. I dont like ppl with bad adittudes for example. I do like everything that makes me happy. I like spending time with people I care about and I like money, well earned money which is very important in life. Money can not buy you everything but it can for sure help you out a lot.
10. What kind of person are you?
I would say I am not a perfect person, but I pretty damn close!
11. Tell me something about your strengths.
Certainly Sir, I think my biggest strength, especially regarding the life on board of the Cruise industry are my communication skills, considering I talk fluent German and English and I have been moving a lot in my life, and always meeting new people, so I know for a fact I can easy make good relations with other people and I fill in pretty fast. I also like to work in a team, even tho I think working solo has its pros and cons but still working in a team is always the better solution. I always fulfil my duties,no matter how long it takes and I never leave something behind. Also while working so far I have learned that I always try to satisfy the costumer, no matter how much I suffer sometimes, doing some special tasks, but as long as the costumer goes out and says he will for sure come again, I am happy and I think thats a strength too.
12. Tell me something about your weaknesses
Certainly Sir, even though I dont think there are too many, especially when its about working and trying his best to make it in life, but I would say my strongest weakness is being impatient. It can be a strength too, the way I see it, but mostly when I want to achieve something or something is about to happen, I am very impatient and focus only on those things and sometimes ignore everything else until that one is done and it can backfire horribly because sometimes I dont even sleep and I think that is not good at all.
14. Tell me something about your best friend, girlfriend.
Certainly Sir, thanks for asking. I have quite a few friends who i can relay on but since I spend most of my time with my girlfriend I cant say I have a very best friend, and that is also because of the way I lived my life, and never spending more then a few years on one place. But I am lucky I have this girl and she fills up every empty place. She is here with me today and is going to talk here aswel. Our dream right now is to continue our careers on the ship, because we always focused on languages and communication and that does not count too much in a country that is so much behind like Bosnia.
15. Tell me something about your favorite travel.
Certainly Sir. There are quite a few travels or Vacations I have had in my life and all were great, but if I had to choose one I would say last years travel to Dubrovnik, I guess you heared about it. Its a town in Croatia, a town with a huge history, of which most is still kept and can be seen, like the old City of Dubrovnik and much more. I highly recommend this city if You ever choose to visit Croatia.
16. Where would you like to live in the future and why there?
Thanks for asking Sir. I never really thought much about it but I would like to be near the Sea somewhere, and if it has to be Europe, maybe Italy or Spain but I love Germany so if I really had to choose it would be Germany, Munnich preferebly. And why? Well Germany offers you everything you need and all you need is will and persistance to make it. But sadly we can not talk about USA, else I would mention places like Boston, Miami or LA, because in my opinion they are simply perfect.
17. Tell me your favorite movies and why those?
Certainly Sir, I have watched probably around one thousend movies so the list is huge and I can not really say which one is my best. But movies like Pursuit of happines, The Game, City of Gods and few more, are ones I will never forget. I like everything in those movies, they dont allow you to blink. But I would choose every movie with Will Smith.
18. What are your hobbies? What you do in free time?
Thanks for asking Sir. I do have a few hobbies but sometimes simply not enough time so the only hobby I sometimes manage to have is sleep. I do play football or Basket with my friends few once or twice a week if I get time. I spend a lot of time with my girl which is kinda like a hobby. If I have time, spending some of it on the internet or on a video game should count as a hobby too, and that is pretty much it.
19. What is your favorite food, describe it.
My favorite food is pizza. I guess there is not much to describe, I love any kind of Pizza and every time I visit a restaurant I search trough the menu for some minutes and I always end up ordering a Pizza and a Coke, which is funny because I spend so much time telling myself that I want something else this time.
20. Tell me something about your education-
Certainly Sir. I have finished highschool in Zivinice, Gymnasium to be exact, 4 years and then I started studying at the University in Tuzla. I am still a student in the 3rd year of German language and I was doing pretty fine, but since the economy in Bosnia is low and the situation at home isnt at its best I decided to try and make a career once I saw this opportunity and to be honest I always wanted something like this where my effort can pay off and I can get better and better every day.
21. Why German language, what classes you have there, what are you learning?
Thanks for asking sir. I chose this studies because I always liked German language and languages in general and if I get the chance I will try to learn at least one or two more in the future. At that point I was talking English every day but German not so much so I decided to get my German on a point thats close to my mother language. I have all kind of classes, from German history, literatture, to English, psihology and some classes that havent got anything in common with German language.
22. Where did you learn and how long are you using English?
Thanks for asking Sir, I must say that I havent learned English that much in school, might be because in my earlier days I thought its too hard, but at some point in high school I started spending more time on the internet, where I started meeting a lot of friends from all around the world, such as sweeden, England, Spain, USA and so on, so I had to learn English more to stay in touch. And day after day it was getting better until once I realized how much I actually improved and became one of the better in my Class. I am using english on a daily basis for the last 6-7 years and sometimes I use it up to few hours a day, but its mostly just random talking or writing on forums.
23. Do you know any other language besides English?
Thanks for asking Sir, Yes as a matter of fact I do. I speak German. When I was 2 years old I moved to Germany with my mother and spent there 6 years of my life. I learned it there at school and I kept it on a high level when I came back to Bosnia, by watching TV and then few years ago I started studying it at the University in Tuzla so I would say my German is fluent.
24. Tell me something about your experience in the last 2-3 years.
Certainly sir. The last 2 years and few months I have been working as a Waiter and sometimes Bartender in one Club in my hometown, called IN. The Club is placed in the City Bulevard and all kind of people are going there. The Club is not that big, but very busy, especially on mornings and evenings. Everything from the chairs and tables to the walls is colored in Blue. There are around 80 seats and there is 2 rooms inside and few tables with 4 seats each outside. There are 2 waiters and 1 bartender each shift and then there is me and another guy in each shift who do whatever is needed. From taking orders, filling up ice, serving, taking payments, welcoming costumers and so on. (Ovdje su prva 4 pitanja iz „karijera“)
25. What are your goals in life?
Thanks for asking Sir, this is a pretty important question in my life. Everyone should of course have goals and dreams, but honestly Sir, in a country like Bosnia it is very difficult, so my goals for quiet some time are achieving something somewhere else, where all the effort you put into soemthing, pays off at the end. Where you get rewarded for all your hard work and where you can actually make a career by being good and having skills in the field you work at. Right now its the Cruise industry, after few years there becoming something important and where I can have more impact on things, change and improve something and achieve my goal by making a career there.
26. Why did u choose to work on a Ship?

27. Why this position and do you have will to improve?
Thanks for asking sir. I chose this position mainly because its the position I work at for the last few years and a position I am familiar with. Its something where I see myself in a few years, but for sure highly promoted. I also chose this because you can show most of your skills, communicate with people, customers and improve quickly. I have a big will to improve and I can not wait for all the challenges that I am going to face in order to improve.
28. What can u offer the Ship/Company?
Thanks for asking Sir. I think I can offer the company a lot. Firstly my hard work without which I know I would never make it. Secondly all my strengths that will help me improve myself and everything around me in my coming years on the Ship. I am a person that is willing to satisfy everything to make a costumer happy fulfil every single duty that is given to me.
29. What do you know about the Carnival company?

30. Why do you want exactly this Company?
I chose Carniva for a lot of reasons. First of all, some people that I know, higly recommended me Carnival and it started from there. I read and decided that Carnival is the best place to make a huge career and be succesfull. Also its a very couple friendly company which was also important for my choice.
31. What salary u expect?
Thanks for asking sir. Honestly I dont expect anything nor I bother myself with that. I know that if I do my best and fulfil everything the salary will depend on that. And Carnival Company will decide how much I deserve and how much I should have and all I have to do is simply do my best.
32. Strengths best for Ship and weaknesses taht could make u problems.
I think most of my main strengths are very good for the Ship and work on the ship. Communication, being polite and having manners is very important and those are one of my strenghts. Also hard work and making the best out of any situation would fit in pretty good.
I dont think there is anything that could make me a problem while working on the ship. Im used to new areas of living, I am used to meet new people and have a fast rytham of life. And the ship is everything I was seeking for.
33. Why would we hire exactly you?

34. How long you see yourself as a employee on the Ship?
Thanks for asking Sir. I havent set a time period of how long I am going be on the Ship, but I do know that it takes a lot to make a career anywhere and once you got to that point, u never want to leave again. So I would say taht if I make it, and I know I will, I will spend a lot of years on the Ship achieving more and more because that most of what the Ship offers is all I ever wanted from a job and compared to everything I have here, its more then perfect.
35. What is more important, money or work?
Thanks for the question, its a very important one. To be honest Sir, I think that money is a very important thing in life. Its true that money cant buy you everything but it can help you a lot in every aspect of life. Especially here in this Countries, money counts for a lot more. But I have to say that work is way important. Fulfiling your duties, put your best in your job, making the guests feel like home and hard work means you do your job right and that means money. So in other words, if you dont care about your work and u dont work good enough, you will not see any money,no matter how important it is for you.
36. Where you see yourself in 5 years?
Thanks for asking Sir, shortly said, in 5 years I see myself in the Cruise Industry, on one of the Carnival Ships, in the Hotel department, but for sure a way higher position then I will start with.
37. Would it bother you to share a Cabin with someone you dont know?
Thanks for asking sir, but not at all. I am used to meet new people, from other countries too, different cultures and ways of living and I always managed to have a nice relationship with the person so I see that as a very positive thing.
38. What are the best qualities that a waiter has to have in your opinion.
In my opinion a waiter has to be a good server above all. He has to be communicative and make the guest feel like home and he has to have the ability to get a smile on the guest from time to time. Being kind, polite, hardworking and always with a banana smile.
39. Describe your menu.
Thanks for asking Sir. My menu was made in 4 sections. In thef fiest section we had all kind of coffees, such as short coffee, long coffee, nesscaffe, capuchino and so on. The other section was with soft drinks, juices and sodas. Also few kinds of water, natural juices. Then we had a section with beers. Why a section alone for beers? Well Sir, beers are the most common drinks for people in Bosnia and in all this counties in south Europe. They drink beer when they watch a game, when they are out with friends and most of the time they are out. Morning, day, night..
And the last section was all the other alcoholic drinks, such as wines, whiskeys, vodkas, liquers and so on.
40. Why are you leaving that place and want to work on the Ship?

41. Why did u leave ur jobs before?
Most of the times it was because the new job was a better job, with better salary and more to learn for the future. Sometimes it was because of my studies, when it got a little bit harder to work and study. But last 2 years I had no reason to quit, so I kept working there.
42. How do u handle stresful situation, working under pressure and critics?
Thanks for asking sir. I handle stresful situation pretty well, because I am always focused on the work and on listening to what I am being told. I try to make the best of the situation having in mind that I always have to satisfy the guest. I am used to work under pressure and finish things under pressure because I have had a lot of important moments in my life where I had to finish something under pressure. I welcome critics because they can never be meant to harm you, but to show you where and what you did wrong. And once being criticized, I will do my best next time to avoid the mistake and make it better. And learning from mistakes has always been my strength.
43. How does the fact that you will be away for months sound to you?
Thansk for asking sir. Well it is always hard to leave a place where you spent most of your life at, but I am looking forward to meet new people and make a better a life, on a place where new chances are given and which I have to choose carefully. And since my family is behind me in this, I can say that I do not worry at all about being away.
45. Do you have any quesitons for me?
Thansk for giving me the opportunity sir. The agency told me mostly everything I have to know, but since they did not really answer me on this once, could you tell me please what does the term „couple friendly“ means for the Carnival company.
