JOB DESCRIPTION
Printshop Technician
                                                       

SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
To establish the areas of work effort required ensuring the performance of duties; and defining operational standards for the Printshop aboard CCL vessels.

REQUIREMENTS
•   To perform the printing of all advertising signs for every dept on board CCL ships.
•   To do the printing of the daily ship’s program and to do any necessary changes to it according to the ship’s itinerary.
•   .In charge of the quality printing of the photo dept canvas program.
•   To perform the graphic design of the ships’ advertising material (posters, signs, flyers, table top, banners, capers, signs, advertisements etc.)

The Printshop Technician is friendly, helpful, honest, and courteous and project a warm professional image
Printshop Technician must have a very outgoing personality, they also must be customer oriented.

REPORTS TO: Photo Manager

JOB FUNCTIONS:
•   Will do the printing of the ship’s daily program and the advertising signs, and posters for all departments on board CCL vessels.
•   Will do the printing of the photo dept canvas program.
•   Proper care and maintenance of the printing room, printing and folding equipment.
•   Effective use of any and all graphic design tools.
•   Communicates effectively (in English) projecting a warm and friendly personality.
•   Is aware of waste and is careful to conserve printing materials.
•   Performs any task deemed appropriate by the photo manager.

PRODUCTION
The Printshop Technician must have a basic and advance understanding of the following software programs:
•   Photoshop CS/CS2, Adobe Indesign, And Onyx workflow software (training will be provided).
•   Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP PRO (software setup – troubleshoot)
•   Basic mechanical and dexterity skills used in the printing production. (HP designjet and Okidata printers, hardware troubleshoot – training will be provided)
•   Detailed knowledge of printing color and quality control procedures.
•   Is aware of waste and is careful to conserve printing materials.
•   Take proper cares of and maintains production equipment and keeps the Printshop clean and organized.
•   Will help storing and stocking printing supplies
•   Adheres to company policy in regards of environmental issues
•   Performs any task deemed appropriate by the Photo Manager and Printing & Graphic Supervisor.

Printshop Technician must possess and demonstrate the following:
