Nije tacno da odlazi iz Evrope, to se odnosi samo na UK. Evo pisma od Gerryja, naseg CEO

May 13, 2013
To: All Carnival Cruise Lines employees

As you may already know, we recently made the decision to deploy the Carnival Legend to Sydney, Australia in fall of 2014, instead of to Europe, and to keep the rest of the Carnival fleet in North America. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you the reasons for our decision to keep our fleet US home-based, and reassure you of our commitment to our guests, colleagues and trade partners in the European market.

Summer 2014–Keeping the fleet in North America
Although we are very pleased with the number of guests sourced from the UK market, we realize that the majority of guests on our European departures come from North America. Because airfare costs to Europe are very high, we feel that our North American guests will prefer to take a more affordable holiday during the summer of 2014.  We, therefore, feel it’s important for us to keep our ships in North American during the summer of next year. This is consistent with the trend for many major cruise lines to reduce European capacity in 2014.

Additionally, the majority of our guests from the UK choose to take a cruise holiday that departs from North America. Although we won’t have ships in Europe next year, we’re still open for business in Europe and have quite a few choices for our guests from the UK and Ireland to sail to the Caribbean from our US ports. We are also the only cruise line to offer year-round cruises departing from Barbados, a British favorite.

Our commitment to Europe remains the same
Our commitment to the European market, which includes our guests and colleagues from the UK, has not changed. Our London office will remain open with the same size sales team, marketing department and other support personnel. We will continue to offer the trade the same type of support next year as we do today.

We believe very strongly in the great overall long-term appeal for European cruises. Our deployment decisions are made based on where we believe our guests will want to sail each year, in this case the itineraries our guests will find most attractive for their 2014 summer holidays.

We are evaluating our options and will give strong consideration to returning to Europe in 2015. We expect to announce our 2015 summer deployment late in 2013.

"Nije tacno da odlazi iz Evrope, to se odnosi samo na UK. Evo pisma od Gerryja, naseg CEO".

Pa Carnival Cruise Line kao kompanija ne odlazi imace jos uvek svoje ljude u predstavnistvu u Velikoj Britaniji ali nece imati ni jednog broda u Evropi sto se da zakljuciti iz ovog teksta. Znaci nema ukrcavanja i kruzeva po Evropi[/b]
