We are currently looking for an experienced Data Security Engineer to join our high performance team.

The Security Engineer position will provide technical assistance with the design, installation, service and maintenance of the enterprise security systems and to ensure security standards compliance for IT corporate infrastructure. As a hands-on technical specialist, daily duties and responsibilities will include: firewall, IPS and VPN systems administration, vulnerability management, scanning and assessments, proxy server and content filtering administration, project security reviews, anti-virus and anti-spyware systems, establishment of Java/J2EE application development security best practices and some Java coding, troubleshooting and related technical information security tasks. This person will also analyze and resolve security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and conduct user activity audits where required.

Requirements:

Well-developed analytical and troubleshooting skills and an ability to translate technical data into practical business solutions. Must be able to communicate effectively at any level of the organization. Must have a strong network infrastructure, systems and administration background and a familiarity with application and network level security practices. It is essential to have a foundation in good information security practices as well as a consultative nature, pleasant client facing appearance.

Working knowledge of IT security for Firewalls, IPS, Proxy Servers/Content Filters, VPN's, Windows 2000/2003 and at least 1-2+ years of recent Java/J2EE security and application development background. Must be able to work independently to solve problems using appropriate methods and channels in a timely manner, thinking strategically to creatively provide solutions and ideas, while considering a broad range of internal and external factors. Must be willing and able to act collaboratively in teams including other areas of IT and the business to recommend, establish and maintain a level of information security that is appropriate to the business needs.

Za ovaj posao Vam je potrebno poznavanje mreza i to windows OS, naime serveri su pod windowsom kao i svi terminali, znanje iz oblasti mreza je vece od osnovnog kao kako instalirati SERVER i ostale stvari kao DHCP, DNS, WINS, hardware , komande iz unixa (neke), kako psotaviti permission, users, itd, kako srediti problem na terminalu koji je pod WINXP itd. znaci hardware, XP, WIN 2003, itd, ima tu jos nekih stvari, naravno IP adrese kategorije i sl. cini se lako ali i nije lako jer ko radi sa mrezama zna da je tu hrpa stvari... Naravno PREPORUCUJEM da testirate svoje znanje na intervju i da vidite , a ja vam zelim mnogo uspjeha

jedna stvar mne mozes biti internet manager odmah, tj prvo ides od prvog levela pa onda dalje i to ti ide kako jedan napreduje sve pozicije idu gore, tj ako tvoj manager ide recimo u Majami i onda svi dobijaju poziciju vise tako ti ide napredak a prvo je da dobijes manji brod pa si sam sa mangerom na brodu poslije toga te promovisu i posalju na visi brod tj zavisi od tvog uspjeha i znanja

Interesuje me kako do posla Internet manager-a. Kontaktirao sam agenciju sea iz Beograda i oni su mi rekli da ne postoji posao Internet manager-a vec samo data securite  kao i da se za taj posao ceka i po godinu dana. Na web stranama cruise kompanija pise posao internet manager-a.   Nije mi logicno da bi bilo koja kompanija zaposlila nekog ko prvi put radi na brodu kao data securite, vec mi je logicnije da bi radio  za pocetak kao internet manager.

Molim Vas da mi pomognete jer ovo po meni nema logike.

Nazalost, nelogicno mi je sto u opisu posla za internet manager-a pise basic computer knowledge a ovda saznajem da se trazi bas dosta. Iako mi  je znanje iz oblasti it solidno definitivno ne znam sve sto je Miroslav pomenuo za Internet manager-a.

da stvar bude jos cudnija moj drugar sa fax-a je dobio posao za  it preko EP iz Zagreba prosao intervju i nikad nije ni otisao na brod.

A da nisam pomenuo da je polagao test koji je bio vise nego smesan.

Shipboard Information Systems Manager

Shipboard Information Systems Manager (I/S Manager) is an onboard officer that works with ALL onboard departments and shoreside personnel to ensure operation and maintenance of the revenue and guest tracking systems. Manages the shipboard systems and communicates to management regarding the systems availability. The I/S Manager is responsible for adhering to internal controls, data security, daily and weekly reporting, hardware inventory and daily operations. Ensures 24-hour, seven days a week operation needs for all systems and support is met. Operates, maintains and monitors all approved shipboard computer systems. The I/S Manager works with all shipboard officers and staff on providing technical support services in approved areas. Maintains and coordinates the repair of hardware. Works with arriving vendors and shoreside staff on hardware repair and software upgrades. Applicants are required to have a valid passport with all appropriate Visas prior to being accepted for this position.

This is a 6-month on, 6-weeks off, live aboard position. This includes 24-hour on-call support when onboard, in addition to daily responsibilities. Two I/S Managers are usually assigned to our larger ships. When two I/S Managers are on board, the responsibilities of the position are split between both I/S Managers. On the smaller ships and during new ship build projects, usually only one I/S Manager will be assigned to a ship.

Due to the limited space on board, it is usually necessary to share a cabin.

The I/S Manager is responsible to ensure the shipboard computer systems supporting guest services are fully operational. Systems are to be supported so that there is no impact on guest services. In addition, the I/S Manager supports and maintains the back office PCs used by the departments on board. The I/S Manager performs 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support to the onboard users. The I/S Manager is remotely supported by I/S groups shoreside, specialized in the different systems.

Shipboard computer systems encompass: Bar Register network; within the Unix System: point-of-sale, on-board credit and guest tracking; PC network of Windows 95 and NT and related peripherals; NT/2000 server; NT/2000 Exchange email server; guest security system; guest door lock system and other proprietary software/systems.

As an officer, the I/S Manager is expected to act accordingly and must adhere to all shipboard rules and regulations, as well as dress code. The I/S Manager reports directly to the ship's Hotel Manager, as well as the Supervisor of I/S Fleet Operations.

Requirements: Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, excellent written and verbal skills a must, knowledge of systems/programs: Unix, MS Outlook, MS Office, Lotus, Win 3.X, Win9X, WinNT (workstation & server), Win2000 (professional & server), troubleshooting and repair of PC/printer hardware.

(Ref : ICS-W014 ) The operation and maintenance of all areas of the Cruise Ship’s on board computer systems, both hardware and software is the responsibility of the Information Technology department. Candidates are required to have experience of the major software applications and an in-depth knowledgeof network operating systems management, techniques, configuration andtopologies as the entire hotel department is operated by an internal computer system.
Internet Cafes and computer centres are available on board Cruise Ships worldwide. The way in which they operate varies according to the Cruise Company or Concessionaire running the facilities. The computer labs are overseen by a computer officer or internet cafe manager. Internet service onboard a cruise ship is transmitted via satellite, resulting in a much higher cost involved in collecting regular e-mail. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledgeof computers, computer & Internet services and major software applications.

Cruise Ship Shipboard Systems Manager.
Responsible for the day to day operations of AS/400/Windows NT/POS platforms.) Candidates will require to have 1-2 years AS/400 and Win/NT experience. POS knowledge an advantage. Contracts will be for a minimum of 4-6 months. Must speak fluent English.
Salary region: $5,500 - $6,700 US per month. (Approx: £2,750 - £3,350 per month).

Cruise Ship Computer Systems Hardware Technician.
Responsible for installations, maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrading of computer hardware, software, personal computer networks, peripheral equipment and electronic mail systems; assesses user training needs and trains users in effective use of applications. Candidates must have completed two years of college-level coursework in computer science, information technology or a related field and two years of general computer installation, maintenance and repair experience. Salary region: $4,800 - $5,800 US per month. (Approx: £2,400 - £2,900 per month).

Cruise Ship Internet Manager.
Candidates must possess basic computer knowledge, proficiency in Microsoft office, sales and managerial experience and excellent customer service skills. Must be creative, self motivated, multi-task oriented and possess excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills. Energetic and outgoing personality is a plus. Must speak fluent English.
Salary region: $4,800 - $5,800 US per month. (Approx: £2,400 - £2,900 per month).

Zna li neko neku agenciju sa exYU prostora koja moze posredovati za ova mesta, mislim da je pametnije nego se prijavljivati online na onom engleskom sajtu...?

prijatelju, ja samo radio kao assistent a potom  kao IT manager na Celebrity, mogu ti samo reci da ni sam ne znam kako sam dosao na tu poziciju, s obzirom da moras biti osoba kojoj se vjeruje i da oni imaju povjerenja u tebe, + sto moras znati stvarno posao i imati more cijelo certifikata, 27 u mom slucaju..

vraticu se mozda nekad sljedece godine ponovo na brod, sada radim trenutno za AT&T.., ali vidjecu vec sta ce sve ispasti..

ah da.. s obzirom da ti je plata kao assist. 3200$ a kao menadjeru 4800$ skontaj da nije lako doci odmah na takvu poziciju, ja sam poceo prvo kada sam otisao na brod da radim na recepciji, pa da bi potom nakon 2 godine dosao do IT posla, al' opet sve to svojim trudom koji je na kraju rezultovao uspjehom

ja sam trenutno na celebrity infinity kao Assistant data systems manager na samom pocetku pa ne mogu puno da kazem
