IT System Support Engineer
Thome Zadar d.o.o. announcing open position for full time employee as IT System Support Engineer in our office (Obala kneza Trpimira 2, 2300 ZADAR).
We are looking for the suitable candidate with required skills in organization and coordination of IT projects, resolving IT system problems, also having required sea-going experience as either IT Engineer or ETO.
Your duties as IT System Support Engineer will include but will not be limited with:
- Responsible for the company IT functions directly coordinating and reporting functionally to the head of the marine system/IT Manager.
- Evaluate and implement IT projects for the Company in coordination with the IT manager
- Responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day IT operations including back-ups, systems security, and maintenance matters.
- Monitor and co-ordinate office hardware and software-related issues with the various vendors
- Provide technical advice on purchase of computer hardware and software, including upgrades.
- Provide IT support, maintenance and training in the office and for the vessels
- Attend or visit the ships within the Euro zone to fix IT issues that may occur.
- Assist in implementing IT projects for the company
- Responsible for daily back-ups and daily checking of office communication system
- Provide IT support, maintenance and training for the vessels as required
- Implement onboard application like Compas, OM, NAU, DNV navigator and other in house applications
- Perform technical support and backup duties for vessels issue covering the Euro time zone.
- Attending the vessel’s for support and maintenance of IT systems when required Required education
/ experience:
- Master of science in electrical engineering Telecommunications and informatics - Information system strategy and management
- Minimum 1 year of work experience as IT System Support Engineer
- Minimum 1 year of sea service as ETO / IT Engineer valid seaman’s book and STCW COC mandatory
