To effectively align our culinary brigade’s positions with industry standards, we are changing the following Galley titles to more accurately reflect their skill set.
The following Galley titles will be changed effective from 1 June 2014:
It’s important to convey to all Galley crew that these are changes to certain titles only. The changes do
not affect hierarchical rank within the overall structure, and they have no impact on existing terms and conditions of employment, including the wage structure.
Each affected crewmember’s role description and appraisal will be amended in Compass to reflect the appropriate title change
and subsequent chain of command beginning on 1 June.
MAPS will be updated as well.
We are confident these new titles will provide a more accurate reflection of our Galley operation.
In addition, the changes will accurately align Princess Galley titles with the traditional culinary industry worldwide, and
will improve our ability to more effectively recruit qualified Galley crew.
