So my dear other half and I have received different air travel tickets for the same destination, from Carnival.
Basically, we fly to the same time but in different planes, dumb but what can you do.
I wrote to Carnival and they answered me this:
“Good day
Please be advise that as per company policy, we don’t accept flight/ticket requested.
With this said, if you wish to fly together, you will need to make your flight arrangements and request reimbursement, for what CCL pays for a ticket from you home to the homeport, once you’re onboard your next ship.
Also, if you decided to do this, you will be responsible for any cancellation penalty fee that your ticket might have.
Kindly do let us know what you decide to do.
Regards,”
So I am wondering now, though it probably will not happen this time, but certainly on the way back, (once we returned on the same flight with different seats and I had to pay for it, irrelevant);
What is the process?, What is Carnival reimbursement budget for crew-members’ airfares and how to find it out? Can you spend more than allowed and pay only that “over the top” sum yourself?
