Hi, guys! <\/p>\n

Here, I report to finally have received the joining date, 26.11. Island Princess in Port Everglades.
\nThere is hope for us all … after all.
\nAfter a long period of waiting and after I had nearly lost all of my nerves (I passed the final job interview 11.13.2013) finally the good news. Now I wait for a flight ticket and a flight plan.<\/p>\n

Is there’s anyone else that got this date and this ship?
\nI’m a little concerned about talks of denied boarding, although I realize this does not apply to Princess Cruises, they continue to normally recruited us, candidates from BH and Serbia.
\n After such a long wait, I am quite traumatized, every little thing scares me.<\/p>\n

Well, now I am interested in something else, can anyone tell me how to go about this procedure for second contract?
\nOnce the first contract finish, how long do I wait for a second contract?
\n Do we, ourselves, decide how long we would be on vacation and is it us who email company to call us back, or perhaps nothing is up to us?
\nI know that we’re all here waiting to go first, and I do not want to prejudge things, but I read somewhere that some people wait for their 2nd contract up to six months. If that is true, it is really a lot, and I’m afraid that after this \u200b\u200bwaiting follows the same for 2nd contract.<\/p>\n

Forum Admin:<\/p>\n

The length of rest after the contract depends somewhat on you too.
\nSpecifically, companies are required by law to allow a vacation proportional to the length of the contract.
\nUsually after six months onboard, you get six weeks of vacation. There are differences from company to company.
\nYou can get a slightly longer break if they get notice from crew-member in advance, or if you know and you’re in good relations with someone onboard who knows somebody else …<\/p>\n

Also, after 100 days of absence (this was the Princess), the company starts to treat you as new-hire again.
\nThat’s not good if you count to get the bonus that some positions are offered with every new contract.
\nI think Bar stewardesses get no bonuses though. Non-tipping positions do.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
