It&#8217;s been almost 3 years since my last contract.<br \/>\nIf you ask me what I was doing, where I was for these three years, I wouldn&#8217;t know what to tell you.<br \/>\nNothing big and vital has happened in my life. I didn&#8217;t got married, I didn&#8217;t start a family, and I did not become a millionaire. And time flew by.<\/p>\n<p>Let me be clear, I worked and earned for a living all that time, often went out and enjoyed life, I can not say that I did something wrong, but it is far from the kind of life I want for myself.<br \/>\nI have always lacked something, new clothes, new shoes, &#8230;<br \/>\nI get into the boutique, I see at least five items that knock me off my feet, but at that moment I can buy maybe just one pair, and it gets me depressed, no matter how irrelevant and unimportant it seem to you.<\/p>\n<p>For these past three years, some of my friends were significantly successful in the field of career advancement, solved some of the most important life&#8217;s questions, and these people are my motivation to succeed.<br \/>\nNote that they were not pursuing their career onboard cruise ships like me, but they happened to find themselves in a series of unrealistically fortunate circumstances. Not me.<\/p>\n<p>For a few months I have been dwelling on weather to try to get myself rehired, looking at those people who have succeeded in life. A single day does not pass by without me asking myself what would have happened to me if I stayed on a cruise ship for the past three years. I certainly would not miss anything here, that&#8217;s clear, and I wouldn&#8217;t be in this position, that&#8217;s for sure.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, in my mind, I&#8217;m already gone back onboard.<br \/>\nYou know what I miss the most? I miss waking up every day in a different city, every day sunny and warm. I miss sipping coffee in different world capitals every day, shopping at the same.<br \/>\nI&#8217;m not a person to work from 9 to 5 in an office, take vacation once a year, and occasionally dinner out. A life like that does not satisfy me, because I always have the feeling that I&#8217;m missing something. I pretend not to know what it is, but in fact I know very well.<\/p>\n<p>On board, people live their lives 200 miles per hour, they experience in 6 months what other people experience on land in 3 lives. And I dread the thought of life and youth passing by, and don&#8217;t want to waste my time here on land.<br \/>\nWhen I completed my last contract, I had the attitude that I didn&#8217;t want to leave my youth and my best years there, I didn&#8217;t want to throw another 6 months of my life there. But now, from this perspective, after 3 years of nothing here, I regret 3 misspent and wasted years here.
