Did you have a favorite place to go?
Key West was the port where I liked to go out and forget where I was..
Small streets, homes like in a fairytale, I’ve found a great place with French croissants, I go there regularly to enjoy their delicacies, then there’s a coffee at Starbucks, Hemingway house that has left an impression for the lifetime..
Key West is a small paradise for romantic souls. That was the only place from which I ran like crazy to get back to ship on time, since I used every moment to enjoy it..i then I had to wait in line for trains that take us to the boat and there was 50 meters long ques of passengers every single time, but there was one girl who always came last to ship, she was a sales expert or something like that, so I used to slip after her to the front of the line, so I wasn’t late … Charleston is somewhat similar to Key West but again that wasn’t it .. Miami was a bitter disappointment to me, ..empty, clean, tidy, soulless … terrible.
And because of Mexico I took B2 visa, so that when I finish the next contract, I can go and visit all that the places I miss with the ship …
Describe the benefits of working on cruise ship.
Where do I begin …
I lived under the delusion that I know myself. Only on the boat you realize what you can and what your boundaries are. I got what I always dreamed of with life on board, and that is to do what I love to do (and got paid for it), with people from all over the world, and almost every day to wake up in other city.. You get the opportunity to visit places that you do not know how to find on the map, not to mention the fact that with the salary of 370 euros I’d have never be able to visit them.
Free accommodation, food (but it would have been better to pay for it so that at least it tastes better), free gym and sauna, coffee (never had any better than on board), I love the water and the ocean, variety of something new, beautiful and good with every new day … that was my first contract ..
