How did you hear about work on cruise ships?
At one of the Croatian forums back in 2008. After that, I discovered this forum that I occasionally visit since then, but I have not written so far, only now I think I have earned the right to do so.

What attracted you to apply for jobs on cruise ships?
Opportunity to do something different, and of course earnings.

Which recruiting agency you have chosen and why?
A Priori, because of recommendations from friends.

What company and the position have you applied for, and why?
Carnival Cruise Lines, the above-mentioned agency has organized an interview in a very short time, so I thought this was most convenient.

How long did the interview and when you find out that you’ve been through?
10min with the inevitable Mr. Eric from CCLA immediately told me that I passed.

What were your expenses going to ship?
I can not remember exactly but around € 1,000 for sure

How would you describe the passengers onboard?
In general I do not have a lot of nice words for them.
Most of the passengers on the above-mentioned company are the lower to middle class Americans, people who look to save as much money as they can, very often people who had never eaten at the restaurant (not counting KFC, McDonald’s and Burger King as restaurants).
But of course, there were some good folks who appreciate your work and effort but unfortunately they are minority
Also, some of these guests are very friendly, but some have the typical American attitude thinking they are superior not only to the crew but also to other Americans guests.
In America, people very much like to stand out, and feel different, even more than in the Balkans.
