I would like to share my experience with casino dealer table test for MSC Cruises.
Table test was conducted in Dubrovnik on board MSC cruise ship Presioza.
We came into the port around 10 am and there has been an administrative error more precisely casino manager did not even know we were coming. After 2h of waiting we were allowed onboard with assistant manager in charge of showing us the whole ship where we eat, sleep, drink etc.
After we entered the casino, we waited manager to wake up because of course, he worked all night, and it wasn’t his fault that nobody told him we were coming.
I started first, I stepped behind the black jack table, they crammed all boxes, composing all possible situations, demanded cash out to different chip payments of all possible combinations of black jack situations, and wherever he could, he made split, double down, surrender, even money, everything.
Basically, I thought I’ve done it perfectly, with a smile and a chat; how are you, what did you eat, are you enjoying on board and so on.
We then went to the roulette. After a few warm up spins they began to throw “neighbors” (there was a race track without the series, but the different cylinder and I didn’t know the schedule of numbers every time the ball drops, so I had to look into the cylinder to see if the announcement wins). Payments were type 957, 1142, 654 and so on.
Then he asked me how big is payout for small & big “orfani”, paid for certain amounts of money, so we played a great series, he tells me to imagine the cylinder with a single zero.
He asked me progressive announcements, played me final announcements. I must point out that there was no cash tokens, he told me to imagine this color so much and that color that much …
So he tells me payment is 742, says imagine that cash chips are in 25 and give me a hundred chips in color, 4000 cash 25, 10000 cash 500 and the rest as you wish.
Then he tells me to proceed, starts stopwatch, and I have in front of me 1500 chips.
Those chips were as slippery as they were washed in the washing machine.
I was the only one in the whole group who did not scatter them when they were pushed.
The table test lasted 45 min of which roulette was 35 min.
I had only 10 errors and never passed the interview.
Before I went through the table test everyone said it was simply ridiculously easy to pass, and I would certainly pass.
The whole group failed the table test.
Therefore, get extremely well prepared for the table test if you want the job.
