Princess Cruises rehire process just got more complicated. It’s not just a case of sending a letter to company’s HR department saying you want to come back.
Following is a letter you might find yourself reading, after trying to get rehired by the Princess Cruises:

To process rehire requests in a more effective and timely manner, we have developed a Rehire Application for all crew members requesting rehire with Princess Cruises.
Each crew member must complete this application when requesting rehire, regardless of the length of time they have been away from the company.
With immediate effect, please follow the below guidelines when submitting a rehire request.
1.- The crew member must complete the attached Rehire Application.
2. – Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
3. All requests must include: the crew member’s two most recent appraisals
4. Certificate ( with official translation in English) attesting the reason for leaving the company. Missing documentation will result in the application being rejected
5. – If applicable, when disembarked Own Will, a copy of the receipt of the payment for your flight home
After we receiving all these documents you might be considered for Re-hire
We kindly ask you to send us all these documents all at once.

Good day, hi my name is Avijit saha, employe ID 495614 I had a medical disembarkation from pacific explorer P&O Australia on 11th September 2018.in my last contract after done my medication doctor declared that I am fit for sea duty. After that I got a new rotation and I suppose to join pacific Aria on 18th March 2019 . Before that I need to undergo a new PEME . Which I had done but it took a extra days because I had a teeth cavities and that need to extraction. I also send a mail to princess compliance that I need some day to done my extraction. After done my PEME I send my fitness certificate to my manning agency on 7th march 2019and they sayed P&O Australia close you on maps. I am not declined my joining date there shouldn’t any reason based on my medical they close me on map but unfortunately it happened. After all that happen my manning agency advise me to go through with rehire process I already submitted my rehire application along with my all documents . So, just want to when I will get my joining date, I have a great faith and believe in my company they not let me down in anyway. Thanks. Avijit

Rehire process can take a very very very long time, up to a year, so you better try other companies.

i have filled my rehire form with all the required documents and sent it to the Mumbai agency office FMSI 3 weeks back .Also iam continuously following up with them for the result but the mumbai office said they have not got any revert from princess and so wanted to know how long does the process takes .
it depends on department, manning onboard, when the line will open, when somebody gets sick, resigns, get promoted, depends on season, itinerary, but before all, it depends on your last evaluation and reason why you left company.
I filled d rehire form and sent it to my agency fmsi along with all the required documents I was disembarked from the ship on medical ground then I was given treatment and I was given fit by the doctor but he had also adviced me to take some rest then I was given joining date by my agency but when I told my agency that I wanted some rest my agency told me to wait for a year and now I am asked to fill rehire form and now if I call at fmsi they say dat they have not received any reply I just wanted to know how long do i have to wait for the reply
You may get answer soon, or never. You made a big mistake by trying to stay longer at home. They have hundreds, if not thousands to take your place. Why would company risk with someone who is medically challenged, and maybe ready to get back but maybe not.
Same thing! Waiting about one month for the company decision about re-hiring. The question is, will I get the answer yes/no or in the case of a negative decision is not whether to send a response?
Viktor, Princess Cruise Line has no timetable when it comes to answering questions. If and when they feel like it, they might answer. From previous cases, it takes a week and up to a year to answer. Some people never get the answer. Try sending email on regular basis, once in two weeks perhaps …

When you’re fired for alcohol intoxication, it is for good. No expiry date. But if you have a person inside, anything is possible, depending on that person of course.

Time does not matter. Once you’re fired – you’re fired. There are other cruise line companies.
There are stories, unconfirmed, that you can get fired from one ship, but can get back to other (Princess) ship, but that’s just stories.
I have applied for the same and my previous appraisal was 3.93.
I have filed rehire application on 1st November and waiting for a reply.
I have completed six years with the company and disembarked as per end of contract date.
I was offered assignment which I could not joined as per schedule due to serious family reasons, which I have explained to Officer of CSSI and cannot disclose on an email.
I did not have enough time to provide notification about this unexpected issue hence could not plan in advance.

I m working in Princess almost more than 5 years. In one night singapore it’s happened with me misunderstanding with local people. And they call the police .police take me in night and in the morning port agent come and she bell me. After the investigation the singapore police just give meet the sterm warning. And they say u can work again in u r company.because of just misunderstanding they take me in police station.port agent allready send my all documents in Los Angeles. But they say u have sterm warning they can not hire me…….. why

They accused me for misunderstanding molestation in Singapore Club, but when they finished the investigation they told me that I don’t have any records to them and I can come back again to my job.
Princess is, like all other cruise lines, terrified about any possibility of molestation onboard, and looks like they are not willing to take any chances with you.
Further more, cruise industry have thousands of candidates waiting for embarkation, so they can chose new-hire without any problem to take your place.
I suggest you try other cruise lines.
I have completed my contract on Sea princess and came for vacation on 4 October 2017. I was given joining on 18th December 2017, but I couldn’t accept the joining because I was suffering from cold, cough and mild fever. I submitted my doctor priscription along with doctor letter that I was sick to CSSI MUMBAI, as soon as I got well and feel better I informed cssi Mumbai, so they told me to Do PEME Medical, I did my medical and I got pass my medical, I submitted my medicals certificates to Cssi Mumbai, now they sent me email and said that I have to go through rehire process, I already filled out the forms with supporting documents of my doctor that I was sick and also appraisals.. Cssi told me that it will 3-6weeks, so I got little worried as I have start working as soon as possible to support my family, I think I did the right thing informing company that I was sick. Usually sick crew members don’t join ship as I got trainings onboard of noro virus… Hoping that princess cruises will rehire me.
Cruise industry does not have compassion for crew who jump out of rotation, regardless of reason. Someone else has filled in, and your road to return will be very difficult, if not impossible. Good luck.

I got no rehire because of some kind of bad appraisal. But I know one guy who was left few days after I joined, he got lower appraisal than me and he said me after he joined again.
So is it possible to get remove no rehire and come back again on Princess Cruises?

I am not aware of such possibility. Once you get no-rehire code in your appraisal, no one from the company will talk to you.
I didn’t get any code in appraisal, I just got mail that i have no more job opportunity. So I don’t know,

I got mail saying my rehire is been decline .when ask manning agency they say it’s company policy . In the maps comment has been return I have been resigned from 2017. I disembark from regal princess on 23 September 2017 and I had medicals passport us visa and Indian CDC to be renewed I got my all documents renewed by 24 December 2017 then I was in regular contact with my manning agency they told me dates are not availabel I said ok .on 15 March I brought a new house and was bussy with its documentation work on 19 march2018 I get a call from my agency one of crew members mom had passed away and can I join I told them my problem that my house paper work is going on and as I am alone I need to complete it.they said ok.I told once I finish I am ready to join and I am working hard on it to complete it.but 29 March I got a call again that I need to join island princess on 3april .I ask them when is my flight they told me 2 April early morning .I got my dates back to back and I was not mentally prepared as all my work was been pending . On 4 April I visited my manning agency and explained them everything why I could not join with all the documents they agreed but told me to fill in rehire form I did as they told waiting for reply I got mail yesterday that my rehire has decline.I was shocked to hear this news when ask why they say it’s company policy .I understand if I had taken a date and would not join and this would have happend I would have excepted it. 9 years I have worked with princess never had happend like this you all can check my record this time all happend at once .hop please go through my rehire process again and see if you all can do something .

Judging by what you wrote, it seems Princess have decided to stop sending you offers and wait for you to agree with the date. They have vast number of choices to hire, and they will all take the first offer they get. You are wrong to expect Princess to value your 9 years with them. In this industry, you are just a number. On a bright side, your work history should help you get a job with some other cruise line, it does not have to be a Princess.

I joined ship Majestic Princess on 1 Jan 2018 and was Disimbarked from the ship on 11 March 2018 it was my first contract (incomplete). I was often late to work and maybe my seniors did not find my job up to mark as in Asst Buffet Steward. I was being said to Disimbark from the ship after two months of my first contract. Company cleared my Dues and paid for my flight fare. I was told by the Hr Admin that I can Re apply on ship after I complete a year but would get the same position and salary. I completed a year in 11 March 2019 and do have a valid medical and US viza so I have Re applied back in Princess filling my Rehire application awaiting for a reply?
My question is will I be getting a Rehire positive in the company or No?

Bec I got the stress with my back home matters.onbord doctor told me my job is safe. After settle down your problem you can joing with next contract. My appraisal all are berry good. There is nothing you can do buy wait. Maybe they will call you, maybe they will not.
