Entry Level Jobs: Stage Staff

Stage staff is an entry position in the company when technicians are concerned.
Positions for which you can do the training and be promoted are:

Lounge Technician
Technician who works with bands at certain bars / pubs / stages on board.
They run sound and cabling setup for band at specific location where the band periodically sets (pool deck, bridge on the promenade, etc. depending on the class of the ship) .
In short, mobile sound guy, the guy who works band setups on a ship. Needs to have at least basic knowledge of sound and good knowledge of the digital mixers.
In most cases, lounge Tech are the ones who get paid an hourly rate of a group that sometimes can double the salary. Because, depending on the group, most often are rented lounges and rarely large spaces as Studio B or theater, when technicians from the same receive an hourly rate.

Sound Technician
Sound technician in theater works all performances, follows que during the show’s sound check, time code, you need a high knowledge of the digital mixer, sound, acoustics and frequencies,
sound engineer in the studio B is doing performances in the studio B, ie. play on the ice, which is often just two mouse clicks and pressing PLAY … this position is located on the Voyager, Freedom and Oasis class ships because those ships have an ice hall. Other possibilities of promotion include jobs such as Light Technician, Rigging Specialist, Stage Production Manager, Broadcast Technician.

All technicians have a starting salary $ 1,900
