Social life of Casino Slot Attendant onboard NCL cruise ship Gem:

Well, it depends on what kind of people you like to hang out with.
My roommates like to party, so we party almost every day.
There are plenty of our countryman onboard, and they are always in the crew bar.
After about two weeks onboard, you know everyone on board and everyone knows you.
If you work in a casino, forget about crew parties, for you’ll be working at that time, unless it’s over night stay in the port.
On NCL GEM crew bar closes at 2:00 and you can not stay at the bar, security personnel makes sure of that.
If you manage to skip the boat drill because you were drunk last night, expect 2 Warnings; 1 because you have not attended training, and other if you have more than 0.8 parts per thousand (of alcohol in your blood).
A colleague from the casino was lucky because he was able to evade the third warning and fly home. 4 hours before work was again tested for alcohol but in this case, 4 hours before duty, rules say he must not have more than 0.4 parts per thousand, he had pulled a 0.37.

Out of a group of people with whom I came on board, there’s just 8 left, all other got fired or quit.
Salary is based on tips, basic is $900, the first salary I got was $1.900 and the next will be over $3.000.
Each week we’re counting group tips and split them 4 ways, to 4 Slot Attendant.

Prices in the crew bar: Cigarettes $2, $1.25 beer, wine $5 to $50.
I do not know what else to write about. I could write all day about everything but it’s the port’s day, and I go out to explore New Port.
